Here is some information about some of the groups we work with throughout the world.  Craft Aid (Mauritius)Craft Aid employ a number of disabled people. They make a wide range of products and employ a variety of skill sets, including paper products, pressed flowers, organic cotton textile products and screenprinted textiles. They also supply Traidcraft and the Body Shop here in the UK, and other customers in USA and other parts of the world.
CSL Danja (Danja, Niger)The Centre de Sante et de Leprologie (CSL) is a hospital and rehabilitation centre run by The Leprosy Mission. The staff encourage people cured of leprosy to improve their livelihoods by developing their craft skills and producing craft items.
Handa Quilts and Dorcas Designs (China)These two separate groups make high-quality products, specialising in textile work, especially quilted items and padded patchwork. Both employ leprosy affected and otherwise disadvantaged staff.


HEED (Bangladesh)HEED is a non-profit organisation which exists to address Health, Education and Economic Development issues for the poor and disadvantaged throughout Bangladesh, including leprosy affected people. They produce a wide range of products including some of the lovely leather boxes you can find on this website.

Hubli (India)Hubli is a dedicated hospital for leprosy affected and handicapped patients, as well as an outstanding rehabilitation unit, which enrols students on apprenticeships such as carpentry, embroidery, printing and design. Hubli have also developed social welfare funds, including saving and pension schemes for its artisans. Hubli are immensely proud of the high quality goods produced there.


McKean (Thailand) McKean supplies many of our best-selling products. They are perhaps most well-known for the beautiful rubberwood kitchenware range, and they also supply exquisite embroidered products, including bags and purses. An extremely professional centre, McKean consistently provide products of the highest quality. In addition to providing marketing opportunities and employment, McKean includes a general hospital, a community of 100 elderly people, and has also aided the introduction of small medical centres throughout Thailand.


Motif (Bangladesh)Run by Jackie Corlett - a professional designer Motif specialise in both embossed leather and embroidery. They employ artisans on a fair trade basis who would otherwise struggle to find a livelihood. Nepal Leprosy Trust (NLT) Initially created to provide new opportunities for families who had been living in a government leprosy colony in Kathmandu, NLT has now evolved so that a variety of projects are undertaken, utilising different skills, for example candle making and leather work. Today it produces goods for many overseas customers, of which we are just one. 
New Sadle (Nepal)New Sadle provides free medical facilities, care and accommodation for leprosy affected people as well as a comprehensive rehabilitation programme. This includes skills training and employment through handicraft production. They sell a wide range of products, including woodenware, batik work and hand-woven textiles.


Point of Contact (Ethiopia)Point of Contact specialise in selling beautifully-crafted hand-woven textiles made by leprosy-affected people at the ENAELP women’s handicraft centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  Siwok (Argentina)Siwok employ marginalised Indians in Argentina, many of whom are landless. They specialise in hand-worked wooden ornaments, including a beautiful range of ducks.


Sumanahali (Bangalore, India)Sumanahali serve people who are leprosy affected, HIV or otherwise disabled. They have their own training and production workshops for a variety of crafts including leatherwork and candles, not to mention a large and very professional textiles factory. They supply us with a range of luxury leather goods, including the luxury brief cases which can be found on this website.
